His very first day in the show ring (7 months old and almost his first day on a leash!) he took Best of Winners for 3 points under judge Michele Billings - a real honour! By the end of that weekend he had 7 Canadian conformation points. He finished his title by 10 months of age and the following day, as a Special, took Group 3rd.Two months later, Shermie travelled out east, where he took Best in Sweeps at the Borzoi Club of Ontario Specialty under Lorraine Marchant, then went down to the US nationals, where he placed 3rd in his Futurity class (judge Prewitt Owen) and 1st In his Sweeps class (judge Peter San Paolo). At the regional specialty the day following the national Shermie thrilled me by taking 4th in the BBE Dog class under Elizabeth Whitehead. He also took Best in Sweepstakesat a Borzoi Club of New England Supported Entry in the summer and has his first US points as well.Sherman is now in his new home with Maureen Bardwell, his sister Ginger, his half-sister Caitlin and the rest of Maureen's family of Borzoi. He is co-owned by Maureen and Shen Smith, Bokhara Borzoi.
